We made it through the holidays and were blessed with a wonderful Christmas in the midst of much uncertainty. Jack turned five-years-old and Eli grew three feet! It was the cookies and eggnog.
The Wild Things of RA had a well deserved break and spent countless hours in Minecraft as well as riding scooters and bikes up and down the sidewalk. Jack received a new blue scooter with flashing wheels for his birthday and our next-door neighbor, Meghan found one under her Christmas tree. It’s the scooter gang of Olathe and you best beware – they don’t mean business at all!
Eli is back to math, reading, and writing, with a touch of typing, science, and computer programming. But the next big thing is Eli’s new podcasting class where he will learn the skills, science, and techniques behind recording, editing, mixing, and publishing his very own video podcast. He received a headset with microphone for Christmas and is excited to use it as he teaches Minecraft and gaming skills each week. He’ll manage his own YouTube and Rumble video accounts where he’ll post content and learn web analytics. You’ll be amazed at the brain in this kid’s head! Stay tuned for the launch date – we’ll post it here on the website.
Jack is back on the PreSchool track and is happy to endure some crafts, alphabet, simple math, and physical fitness games – as long as he can grab some old-school Sonic the Hedgehog time and Minecraft in the downstairs media center. He may be five but he has the brain of a much crazier 60-month-old with a side of “what the heck did you just say, Jack?!” Yes, life is all about “poop” and “butts” right now. His backside has a crack in it and he’ll tell you all about it…. all day long.
We’ll be updating the website soon with more images, video, and links to new podcast episodes. If you’re interested in video games, rockets, tornados, and poop-butts, you’re in for a treat.
Happy 2022!
