The air outside is crisp and cool as orange, yellow, and red leaves twirl down to rest on a thousand acorns popping like bubble-wrap at our feet. It’s Fall here in Kansas and the boys have picked pumpkins, made warm cookies, and dressed as Minecraft blocks to collect candy at the few doors that still open to the tradition. We have piles of candy!

Each drew a face and then helped mom cut them out.

Jack has been sprinting head-first into pre-school, coloring pictures, making crafts, and counting fruits, vegetables, and various objects Jill lays out. He is a smart kid and very happy to be doing school with his brother. Jack is also playing soccer at Little Kickers once a week and enjoys his coach and new friends. He’s a competitive kid!

Hitting golf balls with Grandpa

Eli has launched right back into math and history, and he reads so well now. He has weekly spelling tests with mom and her words on cards. It’s tough to teach why tough isn’t tuff. Eli is also learning to type and is using the skill in his computer class to send emails and to code. He’ll be starting computer language this week as well as continuing his Spanish lessons. Bueno! Eli is also involved in rock climbing at RocKC climbing gym and plays golf with dad and grandpa every other week. Fore!

Both boys are addicted to Minecraft and need to be forced to play outside at times. But, they are learning much needed problem-solving skills and how to cooperate for success. We are amazed at their creativity and potential!

Happy Fall!
